Thanks to the wonderful people on this board, I was able to do this fix last weekend. I took longer for me to buy the visor than install it. I just went in, told them I needed the driver's side sun visor for my civic. They hunted it down, sold it to me, $20. Drove home, popped off the cap by prying at the seam, unscrewed the two screws,. Our sun visors split apart down the middle. The two halves wrap around the rod. If you remove the 2 screws holding the sun visor together, you can split the visor, starting at the point closest to the mount.
